Mr Amusa Wasiu
Mr. Amusa Wasiu Samuel was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Suleiman Amusa on February 2nd 1986. He is a native of Ondo town in Ondo west Local Government Area of Ondo State. He attended Onward Nursery and Primary School in Ondo where he sat for the common entrance examination in 1996. He then proceeded to Homaj International Secondary School, Itanla, Ondo for his Secondary education where he wrote the Junior Secondary Certificate Examination in the year 1999. He then proceeded to Trinity International College, Ondo where he sat for the Senior School Certificate Examination in the year 2002. He got admitted into Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo in the year 2004 where he read Biology/Chemistry and got the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in the year 2007. He joined St. Louis Nursery and Primary School, Ikere, Ekiti State in the year 2008 where he started his professional teaching career as a classroom/science teacher. In the year 2011, he resigned his appointment to further his education in the field of Chemistry (education) in Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. He got his B.sc Ed. (chem) in the year 2014. He joined Louisville Girls Secondary School, Gwagwalada, Abuja in January 2015 where he worked as a chemistry teacher as well as a basketball coach. He was posted to Victory College, Madalla, Niger State in 2016 for his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC). He resigned his appointment with Louisville Girls Secondary school in September 2018 to join Sascon International School, Maitama, Abuja where he currently work as a Chemistry teacher.
Mr. Wasiu Amusa is Seasoned Educationist and Leader. His leadership journey started way back in his secondary school where he served as the assistant punctuality prefect in the 2001/2002 set. As a member of the Nigerian Redcross Society, he served in the capacity of the secretary (Adjutant General) of the Adeyemi College of Education detachment in the year 2012. He was made the President (Commandant) of the detachment in the year 2013 and was the pioneer Secretary of the Ondo West Redcross division from 2013-2015. He also served as the president of the redcross Community Development Service (CDS) group during his service year. He served in different capacities in the student fellowship of the celestial church of Christ from an Usher to Bible coordinator and Vice President in his final year.
In his few years of experience as a Professional Teacher, he has been opportune to affect lives positively using the tool he knows to use best, education. He has taught the lower basics, middle basics as well as the upper basics. He also teaches IGCSE chemistry where he has recorded many outstanding successes. During his undergraduate days, he volunteered to take up tutorials for the department where he taught lower level students. He has many awards to his name.
